This skirt was a tad on the pricey side but it fits so nicely, the oversized belt and buckle detail are a dream not to mention the ‘paper bag’ style waist and I love the mini skirt length. The black and white combo of this outfit brings it back to work attire and the tights make it acceptable (but also easy to whip off come 5pm). The blouse is so pretty, I picked this up with the thought that it might look OTT on, but it has the perfect balance of ruffles and details. This plumetis fabric is everywhere for Spring, especially in Zara (they’re obsessed) but this is my favourite blouse from what I’ve seen.
I’ve paired it with these patent Public desire boots which I think just are subtle enough against the tights to wear to work, but also statement enough to wear post-work after the tights make a quick disappearance. (Another major trend for Spring, I’ve linked my favourites!) Personally I’d add some big earrings and throw my hair up as well et voila!
Anyone else feel like there is just never enough hours in the day? When you’re trying to balance your career, a social life, staying fit and cooking healthy meals, texting everyone back and being a happy, spontaneous twenty-something?! Fitting in social events mid-week is a struggle enough but amongst all of that who has time to go home and change outfits?! Thus, this little series of workwear-to-evening outfits came about. If you missed my last one catch it here.
This weeks edition is a particular good’n in my opinion because I am obsessed with both this blouse and the skirt. They are both from Zara and honestly I’ve been a bit Zara overkill lately, spent far too much money and look like a walking advert for the store, so while I would LOVE to shop their Spring collection I’m putting myself on a little ban from there, for ya know the best part of a week at least. However in the mean-time I obviously need to show off my new purchases..
