Spring/ Summer weather in the UK is hard enough to dress for, let alone when you’re trying to find an appropriate work outfit. I recently found these drawstring trousers in Zara which are perfect for just that. They’re such a lightweight fabric that they are ideal for warmer days (if we get any) and the light colour is perfect for the season. Not to mention how comfortable they are. If you sit at a desk for a lot of your work day, these jogger fit trousers are a winner.
Trousers are definitely a wardrobe staple I need more of as they are ideal to throw on when you’re running late for work but need to look presentable! There are tonnes around at the moment – I’ve linked my favourites below.
Shoes and accessories?
When it comes to accessories for work I usually keep it simple. I’m not a fan of having loads of jewellery on whilst typing/sending a million emails so typically a necklace and a simple bag will do. I’ve gone for a simple black ribbed jumper and black Mango bag with gold hardware. The gathering around the drawstring takes it from being slightly un-cool to a statement detail (phew).
Whilst I keep my jewellery simple, shoes can definitely change the whole look of a work outfit. As you might have noticed in my previous work outfits posts, this is often what I use to dress up a look for work. These dusky pink mules from New Look are the ideal height for work and finish the outfit off with a touch of colour amongst my usual neutrals. These particular ones are sold out so I’ve linked some similar below.
