Currently it’s at that awkward weather stage. If you’re out and about walking around and you’ve layered up, you’re bound to be a hot, sweaty mess. But if you don’t, you’ll be freezing your tootsies off. I’ve come up with three wardrobe necessities for these ‘transitioning’ weeks, until winter hits us hard and we’re all piling on as many layers as will fit under our coats..
An oversized cosy cardigan.
Wear it over pretty lacy tops and velvet camis to dress down a girly look or just over plain old tees like I have here for a casual vibe. This H&M cardi is surprisingly warm.
What a lifesaver these have been. If you’re anything like me and you don’t like tights then you need some long boots. I’m struggling to remember what I did before long boots came into fashion. Got caught in a spiral of wearing jeans day after day, most probably. Over the knee boots are perfect for this time of year when you want to get your skirts and day dresses out but don’t want to loose your legs to frostbite.
An oversized scarf.
If in doubt, head to Zara for a winter scarf. They always seem to nail it with the warmest oversized scarfs in all different colours. When full on layering is just going to leave me feeling like a sweaty mess, I find layering a scarf over a jumper rather than wearing a coat or jacket is the perfect balance.
