I’m about to make a BIG statement but bear with me.. I think this could possibly be my favourite place I’ve brunched this year. It was unintentionally the start of my festivities (back in mid-November) as you can’t help but feel Christmassy when you’re brunching in this winter wonderland!
If you’re into your brunching – and I mean the whole experience from the interior, to the food and drink to the service – then you absolutely have to visit this place. They do accept walk-ins but you’re best booking if you want to go at a popular time. You can book up to a month in advance and probably will need to plan this far ahead as it’s such a popular and fairly small place!
If you’re an easy to please ~ just give me a large eggs beni no extras ~ kinda gal (used to be me!) then this place is probably going to be overpriced for you, for the amount of food you get. But from a (now) self-confessed-brunch-enthusiast point of view, the food was cooked perfectly, tasted delicious and was just the right amount that you could still go shopping around London afterwards without feeling ridiculously full.
Dalloway Terrace is a heated indoor-outdoors space, set in the heart of Bloomsbury. It’s complete with heaters and hot water bottles in Winter so no need to worry about the freezing London temperatures. It’s also beautifully decorated to feel as though you are in a white woodland secret garden. In the summer it is alfresco dining at it’s best- replacing the white woodland interior the walls and ceiling are adorned in blooms.
It’s easy to get to – a 2 minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Station or a short Uber from anywhere in Central London.
The brunch menu has plenty of options (I should mention you can also get breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner – view all the menus here). There are so many I need to try so will definitely be back. This time I treated myself to the French toast as it’s something I don’t usually go for and it was definitely the right choice! I also went for a Gin cocktail despite it being midday…
Overall, the interior and atmosphere, the service and the food was definitely some of the very best I’ve had when brunching in London and I love how festive it feels! So if you haven’t been you need to add it to your list ASAP!
